The department has a work force of 5 Environmental Health Officers, 2 Scientific Officer, 21 Health Assistance/Attendance and I Clerical Officer, ensuring efficient service delivery and the attainment of the corporate goals and objective of the hospital.
The essence of Administration Department is to provide administrative support to the Medical Director/Chief Executive Officer of the Institution.
Internal Audit is an independent key management control tool that functions directly under the office of the Chief Accounting Officer (The Medical Director) to help the management verify and ensure that Federal Medical Centre, Ebute Metta, Lagos policies and procedures (Financials and Non-Financials) are adhered to.
Dialysis services at the Federal Medical Centre, Ebute Metta commenced on May 31st, 2011. The centre was established to cater for the growing number of patients with kidney disease. It was initially run as a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) before the hospital Management took over the running of the Centre in February 2016.
The Dialysis Unit currently has one Consultant Nephrologist, two medical officers, five Nephrology nurses and two technicians. The centre runs 24 hours a day, every day of the week.
